KuCoin has unveiled KuCoin 5.0, a platform upgrade covering trading, asset management, and user experience.
The update is part of the company’s global brand initiative, “Trust, Built-in,” which builds on its existing “Trust First. Trade Next.” positioning.
The upgrade spans six areas: compliance, technology, assets, user experience, artificial intelligence, and wealth management.
According to KuCoin, the changes are intended to bring these functions together into a more integrated platform rather than focus on a single product or feature.
The most visible updates include a redesigned interface intended to provide clearer navigation for different types of users, an AI service layer spanning the platform, and additional ways to trade and manage digital assets.
KuCoin said it is also strengthening the technology, compliance, and asset infrastructure underpinning its services as it continues to develop the platform.
“Trust should be something users can experience in every interaction—not only in how their assets are protected, but in how clearly, reliably and efficiently the platform works,” said BC Wong, CEO of KuCoin.
“KuCoin 5.0 is an important step in translating our long-term commitment to trust into the product itself. By bringing our core capabilities into a more connected, intuitive, and intelligent platform, we are giving users greater confidence and control today while building the foundation for the next stage of digital finance.”
What has changed in the user experience
KuCoin 5.0 introduces several changes to the platform’s interface and account management tools.
Profile Center 2.0 features a redesigned layout with cards intended to make account information and frequently used functions easier to find.
The upgraded sub-account system streamlines account creation and management while adding security controls.
Enhanced K-line charts provide additional trading tools and real-time data, with settings synchronized across devices.
The update also adds a color vision accessibility mode designed to make charts and other visual information easier to distinguish for users with different color vision needs.
KuCoin cited an estimate of 360 million people worldwide experiencing some degree of difficulty distinguishing colors.
The platform also offers Lite and Pro interfaces to accommodate users with different levels of experience and trading requirements.
For eligible users with more advanced trading needs, KuCoin 5.0 introduces the Unified Trading Account (UTA), available to users at VIP1 and above.
UTA brings spot, margin, and futures trading into a shared framework for fund allocation, margin, and risk management.
According to KuCoin, this reduces the need to transfer funds between separate accounts and allows users to manage capital across eligible trading products within a unified account structure.
AI services across the platform
KuCoin 5.0 upgrades AI Assistant to version 5.x, introducing a unified interface for conversations, questions, and task completion across the platform.
The assistant covers areas including market insights, Earn products, trading, customer support, and campaigns.
According to KuCoin, the assistant uses page context and user activity to better interpret requests, recommend relevant services, and help users complete tasks.
Connecting earning and trading
KuCoin 5.0 also introduces changes intended to connect wealth management and trading more closely.
These include additional wealth management products and benefits for VIP users, access to Earn products through sub-accounts, and support for selected wealth management assets within the Unified Trading Account (UTA).
Main accounts and sub-accounts can participate in Earn while maintaining separate fund management. KuCoin also said KCUSD can be used as margin within UTA, reducing the need to move funds repeatedly between earning products and trading accounts.
The user-facing updates accompany further development across KuCoin’s compliance, technology and asset infrastructure.
The company said the six areas covered by KuCoin 5.0 are intended to provide a more integrated platform while maintaining flexibility in how users access its services.
KuCoin said the upgrade establishes a foundation for future platform development by bringing trading, asset management, and AI-based services into a more connected user experience.
