XDC Network has selected Concordium as the exclusive identity verification provider for XDC AI, its marketplace for AI agent payments.
The integration allows AI agents to receive an onchain verification badge confirming that a verified individual or business is associated with them, without publicly disclosing the owner’s identity.
Launched in July 2026, XDC AI provides AI agents with non-custodial wallets to discover and pay for services in USDC using the x402 payment standard.
Concordium’s integration adds an identity verification layer designed to establish accountability when agents conduct financial transactions or act on behalf of businesses.
Agent owners can complete verification through the Concordium Wallet using a passport and a liveness check conducted by an independent identity provider.
They then link their XDC wallet through two signatures that do not transfer funds and register the agent.
Concordium issues a publicly verifiable badge while keeping personal information offchain. According to the company, disclosure of an owner’s identity requires a court order and joint action by independent Privacy Guardians.
“Payment tells you an agent can spend. It doesn’t tell you who answers for it,” said Boris Bohrer-Bilowitzki, CEO of Concordium.
“XDC has built the rails for agents to transact. We make sure a verified person or business stands behind every agent we verify, without making their identity public. EVM or non-EVM, what matters is who is accountable, not which network an agent uses. That’s the assurance institutions need to give agents real authority. XDC is the first of many networks integrating with us.”
Concordium already supports AI agent verification on Ethereum and Solana, with XDC representing its first full-network integration, according to the company.
Agents retain their existing wallets, code and operations on XDC, while Concordium provides the identity verification layer.
The partnership includes a revenue-sharing arrangement for each agent verification. Each verified agent also results in a Concordium account being linked to a verified owner.
Network fees are sponsored, meaning developers do not need to hold CCD tokens to use the verification service.
Agent verification is available at xdcai.tech/agent-verification, with developer documentation published at docs.xdcai.tech/wallet/agent-verification.
