PERPTools raises $8M to build AI-native perpetual trading platform

Share

PERPTools has raised $8 million across two token rounds.

The funding comes as the AI-native perpetual trading platform built by the team behind DEXTools prepares to expand its decentralized trading infrastructure.

The funding includes a $3 million pre-seed round at a $30 million fully diluted valuation, led by DEXTools Ventures and Orderly Network.

A $5 million seed round at an $80 million FDV followed, with BigBrain Holdings, NEAR, Animoca Brands, Sfermion, and Shima Capital participating.

Fundraising began in November 2025, with the pre-seed round closing in December and the seed round closing in early 2026.

PERPTools targets perpetual trading infrastructure

The company is building its platform around perpetual futures.

According to the company, perpetual futures account for more than $10 billion in daily trading volume across decentralized exchanges.

PERPTools uses Orderly Network’s omnichain liquidity engine, an orderbook-based infrastructure designed to provide shared liquidity across supported chains without requiring users to bridge assets.

The company said the partnership with Orderly provides access to institutional-grade liquidity as it develops its perpetual exchange.

Evgen Tokarev, CEO of PERPTools, said the company is building on the existing user base of DEXTools while using Orderly’s infrastructure for execution.

“We built the execution layer for 30 million traders already inside DEXTools,” Tokarev said.

He added that the platform’s beta had recorded $240 million in trading volume, arguing that integrating discovery and execution could reduce friction for traders.

DEXTools Co-Founder and CMO Frederic Fernández said PERPTools represents an extension of the DEXTools ecosystem from market discovery into trade execution.

“DEXTools became the place where DeFi found its next trade. PERPTools is the natural next chapter, where the trade itself happens without ever leaving,” Fernández said.

Orderly Network CEO and Co-Founder Ran Yi said PERPTools combines an established user base with Orderly’s liquidity infrastructure.

Three products already live

PERPTools has launched three products ahead of its planned token generation event.

Its Perp DEX is a non-custodial perpetual exchange live on mainnet.

It supports long and short positions, leverage, and cross-margin, with trades settled through Orderly’s omnichain central limit order book.

The company has also launched AI Arena, a marketplace for autonomous onchain trading agents.

Users can deploy an agent by setting risk parameters, leverage constraints, and a strategy description in natural language.

The agents trade using the liquidity available on the Perp DEX.

Other users can deposit USDC into agents, while rankings are based on verified 30-day onchain profit and loss.

The third product, Tap Prediction, offers real-time prediction markets based on perpetual price feeds.

Users can stake from $0.10, with payouts of up to 25 times the stake.

The platform says the product has a prize pool exceeding $1 million and is generating revenue before the token launch.

Focus shifts to execution ahead of TGE

With both funding rounds completed, PERPTools said it is shifting its focus from fundraising to product execution.

The company plans to use its infrastructure and DEXTools distribution to develop an integrated trading destination covering market discovery and execution.

PERPTools is targeting a Q4 2026 token generation event as it continues expanding its perpetual trading products and AI-based trading infrastructure.
